Magazine Ad Analysis 3

Lastly I have chosen an advert for the Friendly Fires first album. We can once again see the image has been incorporated from the cd front album artwork and this appears to be a convention which many artists/bands choose to follow. The colour scheme has once again been kept fairly monotone minus the image which is a montage of many piece and colours incorporated into one. The title is once again consisting of the band/album name and revealing the identity of the band at first glance of the poster. The 'skinny' simplistic and spacious font which we see on the advert works will in relation to the image as they contrast each other due to the busy nature of the picture and the minimal effort of the font.
The 'astro' effect that we see on the poster gives it a slightly 'starry' and mysterious feel emphasis the type of music we may expect within the album.  Giving clues through conventions on the poster is something that I am font of. For example using a contrasting dark background to the busy colourful images hints at the fact that we may expect to find some variety inside the album from the band.
The overall persona that the advert gives out is quite inviting and something that we want to dig deeper into. I like the simplicity of this advert and the main image taking control of the piece.
