PASSONFONTAINE
These images images show band members 'Ritzy' and 'Vince'. The pair together are ascthetically pleasing and also show a Levii Strauss binary opposite of male and female. Both represent a similar style of 'indie', shirts are worn buttoned to the collar, hair is edgey and slightly 'rough and ready' and poses are kept natural and simple.
Both images have been edited using photoshop to give an authentic appearence which suits and fits well with the genre of band & style. A blank backdrop has been used, again enhancing the simplicity of the shots. In contrast to the natural poses used in the shots the first image (top) shows a slightly 'tongue in cheek' expression shown by Pat (Vince). This shows the audience that they, as a band, do not take themselves too seriously, almost as if they are giving the finger to the polished 'pop princesses' that are manufactured for the media today.
For the album artwork we will create after shooting our video a similar genre of shot could be used, this would cotrast to the disjuncture used in our film as the image would just be the actual band members. However we could also combine the two techniques of disjuncture and illustration, creating a photo of PASSONFONTAINE which also contains elements of characters used in the video which have no obvious link to lyrics or band.
